Recognized as one of the 50 fastest-growing private companies in the Charlotte area for the past four years, AvidXchange has experienced explosive growth. To accommodate our growing workforce, we broke ground on a new building at the AvidXchange Music Factory in September 2015. We’re happy to announce that the 200,000-square-foot building is now finished and we can’t wait for our 900 Charlotte-based employees to be working under the same roof!
With amenities such as gaming rooms, shuffleboard, multiple gyms, and basketball courts, the new AvidXchange headquarters also features a 100-seat training room, which will help us hire and train employees more efficiently. Another element of the new building we’re excited to implement into our weekly routine is the “stairitorium,” an auditorium with seating on a huge staircase that will provide space for employees to gather for meetings and our in-house newscast, where hosts Chris Elmore and Britt Davey review performance metrics and goals.
Right now, employees from our various locations around the city are preparing to move into the new building, and we hope to have everyone settled in by the end of July. To celebrate this huge moment in the continued growth and evolution of AvidXchange, we reached out to some AvidXers to get their thoughts on the new building and how it will impact their work and the company’s culture.
Leticia Dye, Product Manager, Product Team (The Metropolitan)
“I love how much space we have – we don’t have to go off-site for anything besides our quarterly Town Hall meetings, which are across the street at The Fillmore Charlotte. I’m thrilled that we have dedicated areas for visitors on the ground floor, with a boardroom and interview rooms. I have literally interviewed people all around Metro because weran out of space! I think the new space realigns us with some of the fun and AvidXer focus we had before, with game rooms, showers, a gym, basketball courts, and wellness rooms. I’m looking forward to our first “Indian Food Thursday” in the new cafeteria – maybe we can even get it more often now!”
Sara Brennan, Project Manager, Implementation Team (Pressley)
“I’m excited to be closer to the Professional Services Group teams (AvidPay Services and Sales) along with the rest of the Customer Delivery Group (Support, ABN, and Product). Pressley was Implementation’s home for a year and we really made it our own space. I’m hoping we can perpetuate our team’s culture while settling into our new home on the 4th floor of the new headquarters!”
Jason Boyles, Product Manager, Product Team (The Metropolitan)
“I love the fresh look and feel of the new location. The openness and collaborative areas are energizing. I’m excited to have everyone in one location, and taking advantage of the AvidXchange basketball court for some 3-on-3 match-ups!”
Heather Caudill, Vice President, Professional Services – Implementation (Pressley)
“The new headquarters has tons of amenities, great views, and a high-tech look and feel. So different from the Cracker Jack box I started in back in 2002 on 9th and Brevard. Most of all, I am excited to be back with other AvidXers. While my team and I loved our home at Pressley, we are looking forward to more face-to-face interactions with other departments!”
