AvidXchange today announced it was named a top three “Healthiest Employer” with 1,500 – 4,999 employees by the Charlotte Business Journal (CBJ).
CBJ’s “Healthiest Employers of Greater Charlotte Awards program” recognizes organizations that are making strides in wellness for their workers. To find them, CBJ solicited nominations that were then evaluated by Indianapolis-based consultant Healthiest Employers LLC through an extensive survey. Questions focused on a range of health- and wellness-related issues, from benefits like insurance and paid leave to workplace amenities and Covid protocols. Each employer was assigned a score based on its responses, and those with a score better than the national average made the ranking.
AvidXchange was recognized because of its commitment to creating a healthy workplace environment. As more teammates have been spending more days in the office as a part of a hybrid work model, this translates to more time spent in the headquarters’ fitness center and yoga studio as well.
Furthermore, AvidXchange’s on-site gym is a state-of-the-art facility with a mix of strength training, cardio and other fitness equipment. Beside the gym, there is a large yoga studio, which teammates can use to stretch, meditate or participate in a yoga class. Recently, AvidXchange added stationary spin bikes to this space, as well as a punching bag and other cross-training equipment, to meet the ever-evolving needs of its teammates prioritizing living a healthy lifestyle.
“I am incredibly proud of the programs we’ve rolled out under our larger “My Wellbeing” benefit framework. Through this framework, we provide opportunities that facilitate and support employee growth in multiple dimensions of health outside of just physical wellbeing, said Todd Cunningham, Chief People Officer of AvidXchange. “As we look ahead to continue creating the best experience in a flexible work environment, we plan to build on this program to fit the unique needs of our AvidXchange teammates.”
