AvidXchange CEO, Michael Praeger, Named One of Charlotte’s 2022 “Most Admired CEOs” By Charlotte Business Journal

AvidXchange announced today that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Co-Founder, Michael “Mike” Praeger, was selected for Charlotte Business Journal’s “2022 Most Admired CEO” award. These awards recognize established local leaders who have a strong vision for their companies, have shown commitment to culture in the workplace and made significant contributions to the Charlotte community.

Mike is the Co-Founder and CEO of AvidXchange, and since starting the company more than 20 years ago, he has led its growth to more than 1,600 employees, 8,000+ customers and more than 825,000 suppliers nationwide. Additionally, he led the company through it’s initial public company, listing AvidXchange on Nasdaq on October 13, 2021.

Before establishing AvidXchange, Mike co-founded PlanetResume.com, a technology career enhancement and recruiting site that successfully completed its merger with CareerShop.com in November 1999. Prior to that, he co-founded and served as CEO of InfoLink Partners, a software company specializing in automating the tax billing and collection functions for municipalities. Mike also served as an associate with Summit Partners, a Boston-based venture capital and buyout partnership with more than $1 billion under management.

Nominations were open to the public December 2021 – April 2022, and came from members of the business community, within the honorees’ organizations and externally; and all honorees were selected by Charlotte Business Journal’s editorial team.
