AvidXchange, the leading provider of accounts payable (AP) and payment automation solutions for the middle market, today announced Mo (Maurice) Trezies as its new Senior Vice President of Engineering. Trezies is the company’s first SVP of Software Engineering at AvidXchange and will lead engineering operations and product development. He joins the executive team with 25 years of experience in technology architecture, product and mass innovation, software engineering, product development and technical architecture strategy. Prior to joining AvidXchange, Trezies spent more than seven years as the Vice President and Head of Software Engineering at Benefitfocus and before that 8 years at Goldman Sachs.

Trezies will oversee engineering operations including product development, technical architecture and process improvement at AvidXchange.

Prior to his time at Benefitfocus, Trezies led Global Architecture at Goldman Sachs for their Securities Lending and Fund Administration Hedge Fund Businesses. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland and a Master of Science in information technology from The Robert Gordon University
Trezies will report directly to Chief Information Officer, Angelic Gibson.
