Entangled in an Accounts Payable Jungle

In the not-so-distant past, the San Antonio Zoo found itself entangled in the complexities of a cumbersome invoice approval process. The vast campus has multiple departments scattered across different buildings with several teams submitting invoices. The consequence? By the time these invoices reached the finance team, they bore the marks of this chaotic journey which led to errors and a very time-consuming, manual process.

Adopting Automation Boosts Operational Efficiency

Adopting AvidXchange allowed the Zoo to enhance operational efficiencies and ensure accurate and timely invoice processing. The finance department no longer must wait on approvers to be in-office to finalize and process payments. This not only strengthened relationships within the organization, but also the Zoo’s relationships with their suppliers. Invoices are now processed and paid in record time.

Maximizing Time to Fulfill Conservation Mission

Modernizing their accounts payable process with AvidXchange allowed Nelson to give more time back to the Zoo’s staff. Now, instead of spending hours behind their desks processing invoices or chasing down a payment, the staff can spend more time with the animals and plants, as well as focusing on other task that contribute to their conservation mission.
